Abstract

The aims of this research is to know the function and meaning of conjunction in short story by HarunYahya (Morphology study). This research is focused on the use of language science, especially the problem of conjunction. Qualitative methods used by the researchers followed up with morphological studies, The object of research analyzed in the form of short stories by HarunYahya namely: Karim and Hasan Grandpa and Anwar and sang Burung Kecil. Data collection is done by using literature study, which is to study the written sources related to the data that will be analyzed to collect data from references that are deemed relevant to the needs of this study. In his research, researchers found at once determine the conjunctions that are used based on the function and meaning that can represent the intent of every short story written by HarunYahya. Researchers classified data based on conjunctions contained in short stories by HarunYahya, then do the analysis and give conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion of the results of research that has been done, the researchers concluded that in the short story Anwar and the Sang burung Kecil and Karim and Hasan Grandpa by HarunYahya there is a conjunction and, with, and as well. The use of conjunctions and, with, and in the short stories of Anwar and The Sang Burung Kecil and Karim and Hasan Grandpa by HarunYahya in terms of meaning and function are dominated by conjunctions and. In terms of function there is a conjunction and which has a noun function that confirms the events or events that exist in the excerpt of short stories by HarunYahya.
