Abstract

the use plants as traditional medicine (herb) has been known for a long time by the villagers tembeng putik, distric wanasaba. This process has been passed down from generation to generation. But today there is a tendency of this tradition is becomenig obselete, therefore it is very important for us to dig up the knowledge of plants species used as medicine by the people tembeng putik. This research was aimed to determine the types of medicinal plant used by the tembeng putik community sub wanasaba distric, plant part used, way of the processing and how to use plant in the treat various kind disease. It was a qualitative research with descriptive method and data collection technique with interview, survey and documentary technique.the total of informants were 15 respondent from 3 hamlet in the tembeng putik village. Research finding shows that 31 types op plants are used as traditional medicine by tembeng putik community in the treat various kind dieases. Parts used in the form of leaves, stem, seeds, fruit, root, water and gum. Processor by shreded, ground, boiled and for make use medicinal plants with to bathed, adhereed, toothbrushed, drink and eaten directly. Keyword: Etnobotany, Medicinal Plants, Tembeng Putik Village
