Abstract

The ability to speak English with correct pronunciation, comprehension, fluency, and grammar poses a challenge for many students. A considerable number of students struggle to master the skill of English speaking. Consequently, this study endeavors to assess the effectiveness of employing image media techniques to enhance students' speaking skills. This research adopts a pre-experimental approach and includes a sample size of 21 participants from the education field. Data collection was conducted through oral tests, employing quantitative analysis for data interpretation. The results indicated a significant improvement, with the students' post-test mean score of 33.60 surpassing the pre-test mean score of 26.79. This suggests that the application of visual literacy, specifically image media, proves to be an effective method in enhancing students' speaking abilities. Keywords:effective, visual literacy, image, speaking
