Abstract

ABSTRACT MURTIADI (2021). UTILIZATION OF TOBACCO LEAF BONE EXTRACT AS A BIOINSECTICIDE IN MANAGING PEST THRIPS SP. ON CHILLI PLANTS IN THE RICEFIELD AREA OF DAMES DAMAI VILLAGE. The purpose of this research was to determine whether there was an effect of tobacco leaf bone extract on Thrips sp. This research was conducted in one of the rice fields located in Dames Damai Village, Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency from March to August 2021. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This study used 1 type of treatment (tobacco leaf bone extract) with 3 variations of concentration (60%, 70% and 80%) in each variation of the concentration was carried out 5 times repetition. The results obtained showed that the number of pests that still attacked the treated chili plants was much less than the control chili plants. The average number of Thrips sp. on control plants, 60% treatment plants, 70% treatment plants and 80% treatment plants for 7 days of data collection in a row, namely 3.279,00 Thrips sp, 736.08 Thrips sp, 728.66 and 640.94 Thrips sp. These data are also supported by the results of the 1-way ANOVA test which states that there is a significant effect between tobacco leaf bone extract and Thrips sp. because the price of Fcount > Ftable (13.00 > 4, 72) at the 5% significance level.
