Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims at analyzing the students’ speaking anxiety in MA Ridlol Walidain NW Batu Bangka. This study described the dominant factors and the types of speaking anxiety. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The participants consisted of 15 students and had been chosen using purposive sampling. A closed-ended questionnaire was employed to collect the data. An observation and an interview were conducted to strengthen the result. Finding revealed that the factor of speaking anxiety were lack of vocabulary, grammar, less of self-confidence and lack of practice. There were 31.4% students who answered strongly agree indicated that the type of speaking anxiety was state anxiety the anxious type which often occurs when someone gives response to some outside stimulus or reactions.
