Abstract

The research aimed at knowing the students’ ability in writing descriptive text for the eight grade of MTs Nuruzzainiyah Nw Bandok and to analyze the problem experienced by them. The collected data were 13 students’ who experienced the poblem in writing descriptive text. The finding of the study implied that students’ problem were lack of vocabulary, errors in structure and grammatical and the problem of students’ in writing descriptive text were; (1) students’ lack of intrest in learning more outside of schooll hour, (2) students’ assume that English is the most difficult subject to learn, (3) teacher rarely provide motivation and there is no appreciation from teacher againts students’ writing product.
