Abstract
This study analyses the passivization in Sasak language especially in meno-mene dialect. The study aimed at finding out two aspects: first, the kinds of passive voice used by Sasak people in Sukaraja village.Second, the features of those passive voices. The were two research of questions: (1) what are the kinds of passive voice used by Sasak people in Sukaraja village? (2)what are the features of those passive voices? The design of this research was a descriptive qualitative reseach design with case study strategies.The data found were descriptively analyzed. Incollecting data, the researcher took the data from observation, recording and note taking. The participants of this study was the community members of Sasak meno-mene dialect in Sukaraja village whose speech contained passive in their activities.The conclusion of passivization in Sasak members are divided into four passives they are: canonical passives which is marked by te in the verb and isiq word, inverted passive which is unmark, accidental passive is the verbs who were identified by ke in Sasak, the last is adversative passive using circum ke-an to mark the passive verb.
