Abstract

MAHRIM: An Analysis on Student difficulties on Reading comprehension study program of English language education department of Language and art education faculty of Teacher training and education Hamzanwadi University 2018. , Advisor: (1). Ari Prasetyaningrum M.Pd, and (2). Siti Maisurah, M.Pd. In this study the present researcher was focus on finding and analyzing the diffficulties on reading comprehension Subject. The present researcher used case study approach. The data was collected by using questionnaire, interview, and observation among15 students of English Language Education Department. The present researcher found there were some difficulties faced by the students those were the lack of vocabulary of the students, lack of grammar, lack of finding main idea of the text, and the teaching technique of the lecturer. Based on the data above, it can be concluded there were some difficulties faced by the students on reading comprehension subject. The difficulties faced by the students were the lack of vocabulary, the unsustainable tools and the teaching technique. The factors of the difficulties on reading comprehension were caused by the students, the lecturer, and the tools. Key Word: difficulties on reading comprehension
