Abstract
This research aimed at examining the effectiveness of team word webbing technique in teaching vocabulary at the seventh graders of MTs Sakinatul Walidain Borok Gerung in the school year 2017-2018. The design of this research was a pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test design. The population was all of the seventh graders consisted of three classes while the sample was one class consisted of 19 students, the sample of the research was taken by using cluster random sampling. The instrument was an objective test in form of multiple choices to collect the data. To test the hypothesis the data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. The present researcher founded the mean score of post-test was (13.74) was higher than score of pre-tests (8.16), it means that there was difference in the mean scores between pre-test and post-test, t(df=18)=20.78 at p=.00. Team word webbing was significantly effective in teaching vocabulary at the seventh grade students of MTs Sakinatul Walidain Borok Gerung in the school year 2017-2018.
