Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the types and functions of the 77th and 79th NWDI HULTAH language by Dr.TGKH.M. ZainulMajdi, M.A. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data in this study are words, phrases, sentences that discuss the functions and types of language styles. Data collection is done by using the techniques of observation and technique by using tools such as data tables. Data were analyzed by descriptive method to describe the type and style of language. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that there were language styles in the 77th and 79th NWDI HULTAH speeches by Dr. TGKH. M. ZainulMajdi, MA in English style (simple tone, noble force and medium style) and indirect style of meaning (hyperbole, simile, erotesis, parable, metapora, litotes, antonomasia, irony, euphemism and paradox).The types of emotive functions, refrential functions and conformational functions in the 77th and 79th NWDI HULTAH speeches by Dr. TGKH. M. Zainul Majdi, M.A. Keywords: type, function. Language style.
