Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effect of problem based learning and learning starts with a question method against the students learning achievement about of momentum and impuls materials. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri I Labuan Haji in the school year 2017/2018. This research was experiment research. The population of this research was whole students at X class consisted of five classes. The sample was determined using simple random sampling with X MIA 3 class as the experiment group and X MIA 5 class as the control group. The planning of this research that used is posttestonly control design. The data collection technique uses achievement test. Then, the data is analyzed using t test. Based on the data analysis resulted tcount is 2,239 and ttable is 2,015 until tcount > ttable (2,239 > 2,015) it means that Ho rejected, so the conclusion is there was effect of problem based learning and learning starts with a question method against the students learning achievement about of momentum and impuls materials at the X graders of SMA Negeri I Labuan Haji in the school year 2017/2018. Keyword : PBL and LSQ method, learning achievement, momentum and impuls.
