Abstract

The aim of this article is to use the extracurricular activity pramuka in science learning for elementary student with guided inquiry methode. This article, focus on improve knowledge and skill in science. The basic ideas of this article are characteristic of science learning and students especially in their studying style. In science learning, knowledge is not obtained from read or memorize a book or a theory but observation and experiment result. Otherwise, in learning process, science should have absolutely integrated knowledge on students and their environment. In studying style, every students have their own style like visual, auditori, and kinestetics. Also the preference of study in elementary school is morelikely play consider than study. Based on this condition, the author’s willingness is to create the condition appropriated on it. The student will be stimulated to play without aware that factually they are studying. One of the idea is to use the extracurricular activity pramuka in learning process. it becomes main extracurricular activity in elementary school since academic year 2014-2015. Because of it closely in environment and very comprehensive in life aspects, pramuka become one of the appropriate media in learning the science’s concepts. Learning the science’s concepts will be included in every step of it and use the guided inquiry methode. The guided inquiry methode will give more actions of students and also mainly need teacher guidance. The steps are collecting data, analysing/processing data, closing, and evaluating. These steps certainly will be according with the various extracurricular activity pramuka. Thereby, the author hoped that this method will improve the student’s knowledge and skill in science, good character, talent, and potency.
