Abstract
This study aims at finding out the students’ achievement of academic word list for the students of English Language Education of Hamzanwadi University. This study was categorized as a descriptive quantitative research. This study was conducted at the sixth semester students of Hamzanwadi University. The population of this study was 90 students from 3 classes and the sampling method was purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 30 students. The research instrument used to collect data was matching word test. The collected data were submitted to descriptive statistic by using SPSS 22 for windows. The mean score of the test was 41,47, it is categorized into intermediate. Based on that result, the present researcher found that the students of English Language Education of Hamzanwadi University have an intermediate achievement in academic word on the test. Key words: Academic Word, achievement.
