Abstract

ABIDAH: 11220043. "The Influence of the Jigsaw Method on Biological Cognitive Learning Outcomes of Class X Students of MA Darussolihin NW Kalijaga 2015/2016 Learning Year". This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of jigsaw learning method on cognitive learning outcomes of Class X Students of MA Darussholihin NW Kalijaga in the 2015/2016 Academic Year. Thesis, Selong, Biology Education Study Program, hamzanwadi university, counselor 1) Dr. Marhamah, M.Pd. and 2) Drs. H. Artajab, M.Pd. This type of research is experimental research using "The Post-Test Only Control Group Design". The population in this study were all students of class X MA Darussholihin NW Kalijaga odd semester of 2015/2016 academic year. Determination of the sample using "cluster random sampling technique" amounted to two classes, namely class XA which amounted to 35 students as an experimental class and class XB which amounted to 35 students as a control class. Instrument in this study in the form of tests of cognitive learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice totaling 30 items. The results of tcount were compared with t table at the significant level of 5% = 0.05. From the calculation of the data that is done that the value of t count = 2.492, while t table = 1.667 for the value of db = (35 + 35 - 2 = 68). Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that "There is an influence of the Jigsaw Method on Student Biological Cognitive Learning Outcomes in the material scope of the Biology Class X MA Darussolihin NW Kalijaga 2015/2016 Learning Year".
