In this study the present researcher investigated the effectiveness of demonstration scenarion to improve student’s vocabulary. The present researcher used a pre-experimental design. The present researcher used oral test in the form of a questioning and answering, it was given to 23 students of Biology department. The present researcher calculated the mean score and standard deviation, normality, homogeneity and testing hypothesis. The results of the data analysis indicated that the mean score of the pre-test was 53,51 and the post-test was 80,00. The results of standard deviation in pre-test was 11.17 and post-test was 17.05. In normality testing the present researcher used shapiro wilk, total score of the pre-test was 0.051 and the post-test was 0.261. The result of homogeneity testing was 0.35. In testing the hypothesis the present researcher used Paired Sample t-test, and total score was 80.00 at p = 0.000. In this case, the present researcher used One-Way Anova to look for the homogeneity testing. Thus, null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that demonstration scnarion was significantly effective in teaching vocabulary. Key words: Teaching vocabulary, demonstration scenario
