Abstract
This research tries to investigate the impact of YouTube in improving English speaking skills. The aim of this research was to produce comprehensive results and can be used as a learning medium for students, teachers and educators to improve English speaking skills. The instrument of this research was a speaking test using 28 class VII students from SMPN 4 Pringgabaya as the sample for this research. Pre-test and post-test were given to students, the pre-test was given to students before they used YouTube as a learning medium to determine their English speaking skills, while the post-test was carried out after using YouTube as a learning medium. Data were analyzed statistically with Microsoft Excel. The research findings show that the N-gain score is 0.51, which is included in the moderate category in terms of its impact on improving students' English speaking skills using YouTube as a learning medium.
