Abstract
This research aimed to evaluating the effectiveness of using Scrapbook as a medium for teaching recount text writing in the eighth grade of MTS NW Kabar during the academic year 2024-2025. The study explored the integration of Project-Based Learning (PBL) with Scrapbook to enhance students' writing skills, creativity, and engagement. The research involved a pre-test and post-test to measure students' progress in writing recount texts. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students' writing abilities, with an average score increase of 22.5 points, from 54 in the pre-test to 76.5 in the post-test. The study highlighted the benefits of using visual and creative media like Scrapbook in making the learning process more engaging and effective. It also identified the challenges, such as the time required and resource availability, that need to be addressed. The research concluded that Scrapbook was an effective method for improving students' writing skills and suggest its integration with other teaching approaches for enhanced learning outcomes.
