Abstract
This study aims to investigate three main aspects, namely (1) the correlation between students' reticence in speaking and their speaking habits, (2) the correlation between students' motivation and their speaking habits, and (3) the correlation between students' reticence, motivation, and their speaking habits. This research method is a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population studied was eleventh grade students of MA NW Montong Kubur consisting of one class with a total of 35 students. The researcher used purposive sampling method. Data collection was done through questionnaire filling and speaking test. The results showed that the correlation coefficient between students' speaking reticence and speaking habit can be classified as a significant correlation. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient between students' motivation level and speaking habit is positive, but it shows a low correlation. Finally, the results show that the correlation coefficient between students' speaking reticence, motivation, and speaking habits shows that it has a positive correlation, although it still shows a very low level of correlation. Keywords: Student Speaking Reticence, Motivation, and Speaking Habit
